  6. I am just guessing---is Potanoc street correct? If it is, I practically lived there when my uncle Phillip Lingley owned it and my other aunt/uncle June & Dick Metzger rented the half closest to the corner. Place was haunted too---could tell you lots of stories.

  8. Richard Metzger tells me they could stand in the yard, look up at a window facing the river, and see a lady in a red dress looking out the window (that room in particular was barricaded with junk on the inside). The faucets would also open on their own and you could stand and listen as someone walked down the steps next to you. We loved to play on the stairs and slide down the bannister. And we would help June polish the floors by "skating" around the hardwood in our wool socks. Such memories...Pam Foley, Milton

  9. In the upper picture, on the left, I'm sure that's my cousin (now deceased) Phillip Metzger with his mom, June Metzger. I can't tell if that's Gert Lingley on the right or a neighbor visiting. In the bottom pic, it looks like Sharon Metzger and her little brother Ricky. I think. Pam (Manthorne) Foley, Milton

  11. I talked to my brother and he remembers a Turnbull living there? Pre 1967. Anyone remember them? It would be interesting to know who the ghost is. I presume Philson Kempton was the original owner. It wanted to keep an eye on his Kempton & Harlow mill that was on the river by the bridge. Rick K
