Yes this house was next door to the train bridge and for many years was owned and occupied by the Whalen family. It was demolished and a new home built on the spot. It was originally built by the Cowie family who also built the large house across the street where April Williams lives.
Bill Whalen's family home, another friend. He studied Phy.Ed. and taught in Lunenburg County for many years. He was also a leader in the Teacher's Union in Nova Scotia. He passed away too early.
