This was the home of my grandfather Victor Gerhardt who purchased it in 1968 from Florence (and the late Hector) Hirtle. Hector was the one who put in the beautiful gardens around 1946 and also built the rock wall from beach rocks that he brought by horse and wagon from nearby beaches. Henry Myra also owned the house, he was a grandfather of Dorothy Killam who passed away earlier this year in her later 90s. The original part of the house was built in the 1880s. My grandfather sold it in Oct 2000 and it was demolished Dec 6, 2000 and it is now the parking lot for Liverpool Superstore.
