In 2013, I began working on a book on Queens County, Nova Scotia. In the book are nearly 200 old photos and postcards and nearly 200 new photos all from Queens County. Each page of the book shows 2 photos, the top photo was taken many years ago, the bottom photo shows a photo taken in the same location but taken in 2013-14. Between the 2 photos is a brief history of what was there, when it was built, when it was demolished or destroyed by fire, when it opened or closed. Each page of the book takes us back to a time before most of us were born. Having the new photo on the page, easily helps to identify where the old photo was taken. A book launch and signing was held at the Queens County Museum on November 29, 2014. Books are presently available at the Queens County Museum or Memories Cafe, both in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
